Three towns on Waginger See charge a visitor’s tax: Waging am See, Taching am See and Petting. In exchange for this, you will receive a guest card. You will find an overview of all of the services included with that card listed below.
As a guest of Waging am See, your host will issue you with the Waging Card, entitling you to a wide range of benefits and discounts depending on the time of year.
You will also receive numerous other discounts. Ask your host for details, or simply stop by the Waginger See tourist office.
As a holidaymaker staying here in Waging am See, you will receive a guest card which, depending on the season, also entitles you to numerous special benefits as well as discounts.
In order to be able to offer this program, the community is required to levy a visitor’s tax. Your host is responsible for collecting and accounting for this tax. The amount of the tax is based on the number of days you stay in the region. Your arrival and departure days are calculated as one day. Everyone staying in this region, and who does not permanently reside here, is required to pay this tax, which in turn entitles them to take advantage of the various local amenities.
In Waging am See, the current visitor’s tax
in the months of July and August is 1 €
and from September to June 0.50 €
Children under age 10 are not required to pay the visitor’s tax. According to local and federal laws, guests of Waging am See are required to register and will receive from their host an official registration form within 24 hours, or if this period happens to fall on a Sunday or public holiday, on the following working day. If you then stop by the tourist information office with your registration form, you will receive a personal guest card which includes numerous discounts and other benefits.

The visitor’s tax in Taching am See is 0.50 € year-round
